Why blog

Putting this blog together has been on my mind for a long time. I want a place where I can write down my opinions and thoughts. When I started on this journey I had many questions and this post contains answers to some of those. If you are looking to write and have similar questions, I hope the answers here resonate with you.

Why write?

Writing helps me think clearly. Often if I am thinking about a topic, I have ideas and different directions in which I can that topic but writing helps me narrow down those ideas. The process is not easy. Mainly because when I am writing I have to think about which ideas are important, which arguments hold true and whether the details of what I am writing make sense to the overall topic. This requires gathering all the thoughts, eliminating a few and refining the remaining ones. Ideas seem easy in my head when they don’t face this scrutiny.

There is another purpose too. I come across interesting problems on a daily basis and I want this blog to be a place where I can write about all those problems and how I arrived at the solution.

Why not use linkedin or substack?

I am choosing to write my own blog over writing on LinkedIn or Substack because I can customize every aspect of my blog. This is a great opportunity for me to learn. As a builder, going down this path also makes me excited very excited. I do intend to cross post some of these on those other websites but blog will be the main place for me to write everything.

What to expect next?

I plan on writing consistently, atleast an article a month
